ondon culinary favourites Ekte and Homeslice have joined forces to create innovative takes on each other’s signature cuisine. You’ll find the dishes available exclusively at the buzzing Bloomberg Arcade – the happening dining hub located in the heart of the City.
The smørrebrød reimagined
Ekte, the authentic Nordic kitchen founded by Danish restaurateur Søren Jessen, will be serving a pair of Homeslice-inspired smørrebrøds. The traditional Danish open sandwich – consisting of buttered rye bread topped with meat, fish or vegetables – has been reimagined.
One features air-dried wagyu beef, truffle crème fraiche, cipollini onions and salsa verde; the other, plant-based option boasts a tempting combination of mushroom, vegan ricotta, pumpkin seeds, chilli and soy truffle glaze. Try one with a shot of aquavit, the spirit often enjoyed with sandwiches and appetisers in Scandinavia.
Homeslice goes Dutch
Over at Homeslice, the pizza joint whose novel toppings have seen it go from street stall to staple in just a few years, you’ll find another creation that’s hard to forget.
Inspired by two of Ekte’s smørrebrød toppings, the limited edition pizza will be served with half covered with rare roast beef, celeriac remoulade and crisp shallots, and the other half with new potatoes, smoked mayo, capers and crisp shallots on their trademark 20” base.
Exclusive collabs at Bloomberg Arcade
The collaboration is the first in a series between the restaurants at Bloomberg Arcade, celebrating the creative, community vibe at this top dining destination. With independent eateries offering global cuisines, public art to discover, and plenty of space to dine on the outdoor terraces, this is the place to be this summer.
